These Terms apply to all offers, bookings and agreements regarding the rental or use of any accommodation and any services provided by Gill Bank Woods (trading as ‘Wild in Style’) (hereinafter referred to as “Wild in Style” or “We”).
In these terms the ‘Guest’ means the person (who must be over 18) entering into an agreement with Wild in Style for the rental or use of any accommodation or for the provision of other services by Wild in Style. Throughout their stay the Guest remains responsible and liable for all adults or children who come onto the site under that booking.
Bookings
Bookings can be made through our website, by contacting us directly or through one of our affiliated partners (for example but not limited to AirBnB.com, Campsites.co.uk, Awaywiththekids.co.uk). We try to minimise the information we ask for but as a minimum we will ask for your full name, email, postal address and telephone number so that we can contact you. We will also ask you to confirm the number of visitors you will be bringing (please note this cannot be more than the maximum number of guests indicated on our website for the accommodation booked).
Once a booking is made you will receive an email from us provisionally acknowledging the booking and asking for the payment of a deposit. Obviously, please come back to us if any details on that email are incorrect. The deposit is due for payment within 7 days and once received we will confirm the booking to you. If the deposit is not received within the 7 days, then we will assume you are not coming and will cancel the provisional booking. Full payment of the balance is required not less than one month prior to your arrival date. Obviously therefore if you are booking your stay with us within a month of your arrival date then full payment will need to be made at the point of your booking.
Changes to Bookings
by you
Subject to the cancellation provisions below we will do what we can to try to accommodate any changes requested more than a month before your arrival. Likewise, we will do what we can to help with any changes within a month of your arrival, but it will be subject to a minimum amendment fee of £50.
by us
We do reserve the right to make changes to your booking – either in the dates or location booked – but in such circumstances we will do what we can to minimise any disruption by either providing you with alternative dates or an alternative location or we will refund you in full.
Cancellations
by you
Reservations can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 4 weeks (28 days) before your arrival date and deposits will be refunded in full up until this point. Cancellations charges within 4 weeks of arrival will be 50% and within 7 days of arrival will be 100%. It is therefore strongly recommended that you consider taking out suit
by us
We do reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking at any time without reason or explanation and in principle we would provide you with a refund in full in such circumstances.
However, we live in strange times, and we therefore have to say that refunds will not apply where a cottage is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. This would mean any event we cannot foresee with all due care e.g. riots, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, industrial dispute, adverse weather conditions, fire epidemic or health risk and similar factors beyond our control.
Prices
Our core prices are set out on our website www.wildinstyle.co.uk although they may vary across some of our partners websites. Whilst we try to ensure the prices on the website are correct, we are not perfect and so we reserve the right to change these prices and we reserve the right to refuse bookings when they are made using what are clearly (to us) incorrect prices. If we come across situations where this has happened, we will get in touch and ask you to rebook at the correct prices.
All our prices are inclusive of VAT and we reserve the right to increase prices as a result of interim adjustments to statutory regulations or provisions (including, but not limited to VAT and insurance tax) over which Wild in Style has no influence.

Rules whilst on site
We want everyone to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Eden Valley and so we ask you please to respect our property and the be nice to everyone you meet whilst you are with us – our other guests and all our staff. In your accommodation and on the website, you will find a set of Guidelines for your Stay … these form part of our Terms and may change from time to time so please make sure you familiarise yourselves with these for the enjoyment and safety of all of our visitors, yourselves as well as our other guests. Any breach of these Guidelines may result in you and the other people in your party being asked to leave the site with immediate effect and without restitution or compensation for any fees paid. In addition, there are a few specific points as follows:
Day visitors
As noted above you the number of people staying in your accommodation is limited to the number set out on the website. In principle you are allowed to receive visitors during your stay providing that either this does not mean you exceed the maximum number of people for your accommodation, or you have received prior verbal consent from the Wild in Style manager Rasmus Henriksen. Any breach of this rule may mean that your booking can be cancelled forthwith without compensation or refund, and you will have to leave the site.
Fires
We’re in the heart of the Eden Valley and surrounded by trees so fire is always in the back of our minds. Please ensure that you only light fires in the designated fire pits by your accommodation and nowhere else during your stay.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of the accommodation units and if guests wish to smoke then are requested to do so outside and away from other guests. Furthermore, in the interest of cleanliness and other guests’ health and comfort Guests are asked to dispose of any extinguished cigarette / cigar ends responsibly and safely.
Dogs
We love dogs and we encourage you to bring yours. BUT, it goes without saying, that we are in a farming and holiday community. Therefore, we must be very mindful of all of those around us and as such we do set some fairly strict rules … sorry.
Dogs are only permitted by prior arrangement at a cost of £5 per stay (maximum of 2 dogs per Guest). Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture in the yurts and must not be left in the yurts unattended at any time.
Please ensure your dogs are always well behaved and if in any doubt then please adhere to the Countryside Code and ensure they are kept on a lead. Please make sure you always clear up after them.
An outside dog washing facility is available in the farmyard and we would be grateful if this is used … please do not allow wet and dirty dogs in the yurts.
And lastly – please ensure there is no evidence of your dog in the yurts or on the site when you depart.
Illegal activities
If we find or suspect that anyone in your party is acting in violation of the law or public order then you will be asked to leave the site with immediate effect.
Arrival and departure
Arrival procedures:
Units are available from 15:00 on your date of arrival and you are asked to check in at the farmhouse on your arrival to confirm your booking. To be fair to other guests (and us) please ensure you arrive before 21:00. We will then show you to your accommodation.
Departure procedures:
Guests are required to vacate the units by 11:00 to allow us to clean them ahead of the next guests.
Guests are responsible for any breakages or damage you or any of your party cause to the cottage and its contents. Please report these before you leave. Note that we do not normally charge for minor breakages (e.g. glassware, crockery) but we reserve the right to do so if in in our opinion the damage is significant or expensive. The units are thoroughly cleaned between holidays. However, because only a limited period is available in which to clean them, we ask that you leave them and their contents clean and tidy. We reserve the right to charge £35 where in our opinion significant extra cleaning is required
Complaints
Despite our best intentions for you to have a great stay you may feel that you have reason to complain. We want to know … because we genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. So please let us know as soon as possible so that we can try to resolve the issue on the spot. If the complaint is not dealt with satisfactorily, then please email us at info@ wildinstyle.co.uk within a month of your stay and we will respond to you as soon as we have had a chance to review the matter.
